About Us:
Orditus was founded on a simple mission: To make data analysis accessible for all. Our story began in 2018, when Dr. Xijin Ge, a professor of bioinformatics, developed iDEP through NIH funding. The platform’s success was immediate: iDEP and its companion tool ShinyGO (launched in 2020) have since been cited in over 5,600 peer-reviewed publications and are trusted by researchers in more than 100 countries, reaching over 120,000 users annually.
Building on that foundation, RTutor.ai was created in December 2022 (just weeks after ChatGPT’s debut) becoming the first platform to pair reproducible data analytics with natural-language interfaces. RTutor went viral overnight and is now used by thousands of learners each week, including through our partnership with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) to modernize introductory statistics education.
In 2025, we launched Datably.ai, a modern AI data science tool built for researchers and data scientists who work across diverse data types, from gene-sequencing to JSON, .fst, and API-driven data. Datably helps users generate high-quality R and Python code while maintaining full control over their analytical workflows.
Today, Orditus proudly serves major international clients in the bioinformatics and pharmaceutical industries, delivering tools trusted by leading researchers worldwide.
